Sancerre Red Wine AOC

The SANCERRE RED WINE AOC 2009 comes exclusively from the pinot variety cultivated on a 4.5 hectares area on chalky clay soils.
After destemming, the grapes are put in stainless still vats for maceration during about fifteen days.
Two third of the harvest are aged in new oak casks in which they made their malo lactic fermentation. Then they are fined with gelatin before being filtered.
The bottling is done eighteen months following the harvest.
The 2009 vintage AOC SANCERRE RED WINE, of a frank and bright red colour, with red fruits scents on a slightly vanilla flavoured basis has promising prospects.
It goes well with red meat, meat in sauce, game and all kinds of cheese.
It should be served between 12° and 15°C.
